Studio moves and shared kit
CAMP is a membership, not a removals desk, yet almost every funded season produces a studio move. Someone inherits a room at Ocean Studios, someone vacates Leadworks, someone has to get a table to a London hang and back before a crit.
We ask members to write three lines before they ask the group for a lift: what is fragile, what can stand on a floor, and whether a crate already exists. Foam and blankets live in a shared cupboard when we have one. Wet pavements are a no for unwrapped frames.
Plymouth to London is the route that comes up most. Train plus a fold of bubble wrap works for a portfolio. A workbench, a sofa used as a prop, or a stack of chairs needs a van and a second pair of hands. The group will help you write the brief. We will not invent a courier on this page.
Residents should also read the visiting exchange note so a guest is not arriving on the same afternoon you are emptying the room.
